Abstract

Recently, some terminological collocations, being alien and unnatural for the language, occur in Standard Georgian, specifically, in the language of mass media and of the officialdom. Such collocations, having been established as a result of either a foreign influence or some other causes, are formed by means of the units like wwwwvdoma (access), mocva (cover), šemxebloba (touch). The paper discusses such artificial and syntactically ungrammatical collocations. The named verbal nouns should better be substituted by finite forms, and, in cases, when their use is necessary, an ungrammatical syntactic construction should however be avoided.
