Abstract

„The only person who leads his society on the way of progress, will find the place in hearts and memory of the compatriots...“ – These words belong to the „Great Niko“. The life and the work of Nikoladzes’ family is one of the most significant examples of such leadership.

In 1868, Niko Nikoladze received a Ph.D. in law from the University of Zürich for his dissertation „Disarmament and Its Socio-economic Consequences`“.

The aim of this dissertation is to show the linkage between Disarmament
and neccesity of radical reorganization of modern society. This also implies solving economic and social problems.

The title of the dissertation of Giorgi Nikoladze (Niko Nikoladze’s son) was „The constant systems of geometrical figures“. 1928. Paris. Sorbonne University.

One of the most important achievements of Giorgi Nikoladze is the invention of the new calculating machine. The idea of creating this equipment
appeared while working in Georgia. European education gave him the possibility to realize this idea. This invention had a great importance for the development of computer technology.

In the article is discussed the scientific work of Niko and Giorgi Nikoladzes abroad and the value of their activities for Georgia.
