In the communication field, during the process of growth and development
of modern techniques and technologies, the need for a vocabulary is clear and
caused by an objective demand of the field development. Till the 90s of the last century Georgian technical thinking and therefore, technical and technological terms were largely connected to the Russian space and Russian terms, but in recent years, the situation has completely changed: new kinds of communication techniques and technologies are mainly manufactured in the Western (U.S., UK, Germany, France, Finland, etc.) and Asian (Japan, China, South Korea) countries and accordingly their names and terms are in English; In Georgia, the terms that were published 20-40 years ago are outdated, and it became necessary to create a dictionary of communication in areas such as mobile communication, the Internet, fiber-optical, informationtelecommunication technologies, radio and TV broadcasting etc. During the last decade, a number of common terms have been created due to the merging of communication and computing technology. Naturally, it is necessary to reflect the terms in a dictionary.
